Step into the confidence and relief of trusting who you are.
Welcome—I'm Alexandra, a licensed therapist providing virtual psychotherapy to adults across New York State, including NYC.
I specialize in helping thoughtful adults who struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, anxiety, and relationship patterns that leave them feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves. Many of my clients are deeply attuned to others and have spent years anticipating needs, smoothing tension, or quietly questioning their own reactions.
In therapy, we work to understand these patterns, loosen the shame that can come with difficult emotions, and build a more trusting relationship with yourself. Over time, clients often feel less burdened by old dynamics, more confident in their voice and needs, and better able to show up in their lives and relationships as their authentic selves.
Together we can help you:
Trust yourself and your choices—feel more confident in who you are and what you want
Reconnect with your needs—honor them without guilt or fear
Set healthy boundaries—with partners, family, friends, or coworkers, while letting go of people-pleasing
Quiet your inner critic—step free from perfectionism and self-judgment
Navigate life transitions—breakups, career changes, or becoming a parent with clarity and self-assurance
Process difficult emotions and losses—without feeling overwhelmed
Live with more ease and confidence—feeling grounded in your sense of self
Creative psychotherapy for adults rooted in:
-

Art Therapy
Art therapy uses the creative process to access thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to reach through talk therapy alone. Through imagery and hands-on expression, many clients gain new clarity, experience emotional release, and deepen their connection to themselves. For more info, see my Art Therapy FAQ page.

Mindfulness Based Therapy (MBT)
With a background in mindfulness, I integrate practices that help you develop a steadier, more compassionate awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations. Mindfulness can support nervous system regulation and has been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, and chronic pain, offering a grounded, present-centered way to approach healing.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is an evidence-based approach that views the mind as having various "parts" (sub-personalities), such as a critical part, a anxious part, or a protective part. Rather than trying to eliminate these parts, IFS helps you understand and heal them, leading to less internal conflict, greater self-compassion, and healing from past trauma.
